CARA
Bringing Chapel Allerton Together

An all new social community group has arrived in Chapel Allerton! CARA is an independent, non-political, non-profit making group, run by local volunteers. We aim to work in partnership with residents, local groups, business and public agencies for the ultimate benefit of everyone that loves Chapel Allerton.

Our aims are to:
- Develop greater community spirit
- Promote local activities and events
- Raise money for local causes
- Provide shoppers with fantastic discounts

So far we’ve run the first (to be annual) Chapel Allerton Easter Egg Hunt (on Sunday 4th April), and we’re already getting ideas to make next years bigger and better. Egg rolling anyone?...

We’ve recently supported the excellent Contemporary Village Fete held at The Mustard Pot on Sunday 4th July, and have donated half of our membership fees taken on the day to St Gemma’s Hospice – a nice tidy £100.00!

The Big Lunch is next, on Sunday 18th July – we’re organising a street party with our neighbours, so why don’t you organise one with yours? The brilliant Big Lunch website is www.thebiglunch.com.

We also have plans being made for an exciting winter event – watch this space for more details!

If that’s not enough, as well as all of these events, and giving money to local causes, by joining us for just £5 a year you'll also benefit from a wide range of fantastic discounts around shops, bars and restaurants in Chapel Allerton - stay local and save money! And you don’t have to live in Chapel Allerton to join!

To find out more, contact us through any of these routes:
t: 07583 048759 (Please note as volunteers running this group in our spare time, the phone is switched off during the day. We check it each afternoon so please just leave a message and we’ll call you back within 48 hours).

Lastly, on Facebook you can add ‘Cara Chapel Allerton’ as a friend, and also join our group there, ‘CARA: Bringing Chapel Allerton Together’.

Hope to hear from you soon!
